Judy's Tip of the day - June 2nd, 2026

What’s in your Pocket?  Being able to “maintain pace of play” begins with being prepared to play in a timely manner.  That means having the things you need, when you need them.

If you always have: 1 repair tool, 1 glove, one flat ball marker, 2 tees and two well-marked balls in your pocket, you’ll always be ready when it’s your turn to play.

On the teeing ground, it’s a waste of time to have to return to your cart to get a tee or a second golf ball (in case you need to hit a provisional).  Having your ball clearly marked and easily identifiable will not only save you time through the green, but may also, save you penalty strokes.  A flat ball marker is a time saver.  If your ball is in another player’s line of putt, marking it with a flat marker will, most often, prevent you from having to move your marker and then replace it.  Not having to move your marker, saves time and can save you a penalty (if you forget to replace your marker, and putt from the wrong place).
